Mirror galvanometers, also known as laser engravers or laser cutters, are a series mirrors that move fast to change the laser's path. A rotation of just 10 degrees at the top of the head will produce 1 1/4 inches of movement at 10 inch. It can also serve to trace laser paths before cutting or engraving.

Triumph Laser supplies EZCAD2.0 software to control their desktop laser engraver. EZCAD2.0 is capable of creating basic shapes as well as text.
FM-Desktop comes with an optional marking area extension that can be extended up to 7.87' x 7.87", 11.81" or 11.87' x 11.87".
Plasma can cut any type of metal up to 80mm thick, or 3 inches. Plasma can cut thicker materials faster than lasers, which is quite remarkable.
For engraving larger areas, you will need a 30-W or 50W laser fiber to upgrade to 7.87"x7.87", or 11.81"x11.87".
Laser uses light to cut metal. Light is concentrated into a single point to be able to pierce and cut metal. Just think of a magnifying glass that can be used to focus sunlight into a single point and burn it. That’s how cutting with light pretty much works.
Laser cutting machines excel at accurately cutting metal. Plasma cutters are 2X less accurate than laser cutters. Plasma lasers are capable of cutting metals to a precision of 0.1mm (or.004 inches). Laser cutters cut:.05mm and.002 inches.

Fiber lasers are solid state lasers that are widely used in laser marking and engraving machines. Laser cutting sheet metal is the major difference between a fibre laser and a co2 laser.
Marking and engraving are improved by high peak power and nanosecond pulses. The increased power and improved beam quality result in cleaner cut edges and faster cutting speeds. Fiber lasers are also used in material processing, telecommunications, spectroscopy, medicine, and directed energy weapons.
Maximum material cutting thicknesses by 1000W fiber laser cutting machine: Carbon steel has a maximum thickness of 10mm; stainless steel has a maximum thickness of 5mm; aluminum plate has a maximum thickness of 3mm; and copper plate has a maximum thickness of 3mm.
Because the glass is transparent and the wavelength range of the automatic fiber laser cutting machine does not fall within the absorption range of the glass, it only absorbs a small amount of laser energy within the visible spectrum and cannot be cut by fiber laser.
